DESCRIPTION:

This partly completed theatre has 121 seats installed in a banked format with the highest level at a height of 2.4 metres above the stage floor. This set-up gives excellent viewing from virtually all seats. The stage area (yet to be completed) is designed to be flexible in that the full area of 10.8 metres across by 8 metres deep can be used or can be reduced to whatever is required for any performance.

The base floor of the stage is currently cement but will eventually have a "Harlequin Liberty Sprung Floor" specific to dance and physical theatre performance installed with an overlay for Drama and other non impact performance.

The stage lighting and audio systems are also only partly completed but are currently adequate for use in a limited way.

CCACC have submitted futher grant applications for funding to complete this theatre stage of the Cootamundra Arts Centre Project. If successful, this will allow the completion of the theatre in 2010.
