The official opening of the Cootamundra Arts Centre Theatre will  be organised once this stage of the Arts Centre development is completed in 2010. The theatre represents a major stage in this arts and cultural development project for the Shire which has been ongoing since 2004.

The majority of work has been made possible with assisted funding from ARTS NSW. In January 2009 the project, specificlly the theatre seating structure and some lighting, received additional funding from the Federal Government RLCTP funding grants awarded to the Cootamundra Shire. 

An opening of all Federal assisted projects for the Cootamundra Shire will be scheduled for 2010.
